Internet Search Engine Optimisation
Basics.
Search Engine Optimisation Steps - We have
put together a list of things that should be undertaken to
ensure correct search engine optimisation is done for your
website. This is the model we use ourself to correctly place
sites on Google and other search engines.
It is true that search engine optimisation can become very
complex in certain competitive markets, we suggest you take
time to learn a few basics before asking a consultant for
their advcie!
Step 1
Ensure you have a search engine friendly web site. If your
page content can not be read by search engine robots (known
as spiders) you will have less chance of a good position on
the search engines.
The process of making a website or web page search engine
friendly requires you to adhere to good site architecture.
If you have a 100% flash site for instance you need to make
the content that is encoded in the flash file readable to
the search engines.
Step 2
Once you have a search engine friendly site you need to ensure
your site is user friendly. If your site is hard to use and
the information is not clear to your visitors, your users
will in most cases go to another web site. In order to make
your site user friendly you need the correct navigation sturcture
and the content needs to be clear and easy to understand.
The title and description needs to be clear and concise, the
content needs to be easy to understand and clearly laid out.
Are you thinking of your visitor when it comes to your website?
Would a directory or resources page benefit your visitors?
Step 3
The third step is the analytical part of the process. You
need to correctly work out your keywords and phrases, how
will people actually find your site, does your content fit
in with what people are looking for? What does your website
look like to a search engine spider? Are you feeding the spider
with enough word and content nutrition? The main thing here
is not to feed the spider with spider steriods or you may
find your site failing on a drugs test... (only metorphorically
jesting but its true). If you over do it with the wrong combination
of keywords you could find your site being penalised for inproper
keyword spaming. The right mix and correct blend is very important
to good search engine optimisation.
Step 4
Once the above steps have been completed and your site is
search engine friendly you will then need to promote your
site in other areas. This is the fourth step and could be
achieved via correct submission to search engines, and websites.
Maybe you need to place your site on portals or directories?
Another alternative is generating link partners, all in all
it forms the basis of search engine optimisation and correct
Internet marketing.
Step 5
Competitor analysis - every good marketing strategy looks
at the current competition, and search engine optimisation
is no different. We will use the existing search engine champions
as a reference point and build a site to compete on the various
aspects of the technical architecture.
If the above 5 steps have been carried out correctly you
should already be in a good position on the search engines,
you may even be in pole position - but what if you have a
mega competitive market or you need to find a solution to
a power hungry market?
Step 6
You will need a Total Internet Marketing solution, the only
thing to increase your traffic ratios without paying for advertising
space is to develop or use a full blown marketing plan. This
will seek out all of your potential promotion opportunities,
and we offer this service.
We will create your very own spider that will crawl the Internet
looking for suitable partners to exchange links with. The
more it lives the more partners it will find. The more it
ages the more IQ it will have, the end result is a list of
strategic links pointing to your site and thus inbound traffic
gateways are made to your website.
Adaptability (UK) LTD offers flexible options to suit any
budget and any circumstance, this is why we believe we are
a world class service.
